Yours in Power
3 Episodes
Yours in Power is a 3-part micro-documentary series offering a deeper look into the lives of three powerful African women. From South Africa, to Benin, to Nigeria, these women are on the frontlines of the fight against gender inequality and global poverty. They lead organizations, push changemaking policies, win international awards, and rally thousands of people at a time on global platforms. They spark grassroots movements and write open letters to world leaders.
But there is a letter they’ve yet to write - a letter to themselves as young girls.
Each film is guided by a reflective voice over of each woman reading a letter she has written to herself as a young girl - at an age where she felt most vulnerable, giving herself advice and hinting at what great things she’ll soon accomplish.
