Saving the Black Alpaca
30m
This is a story about The Inoue Brothers saving the black alpaca from extinction.
The Inoue Brothers is a social design studio founded by Japanese brothers Satoru and Kiyoshi Inoue, born and raised in Denmark. Together with Pacomarca, an alpaca research facility in the Peruvian Andes, they have initiated a project to incentivise and empower indigenous herders to breed black alpacas through the commercialisation of black fibre. This effort is documented in a film by Danish director Kristian Pedersen, highlighting the global scale and challenges of the
project.
