Unseen City
Formerly a chef, Wayne encountered racism while working at a private members club. He fell into a fight and then descended into anxiety, depression and drugs, losing family, friends and a roof over his head.
Through Wayne’s story, and his vision, we see how something as small as taking photographs can make a big difference to mental health and confidence, fostering a sense of belonging, and offering an avenue for self-expression.
A film in collaboration with social enterprise Café Art and the MYLONDON photography project in which 100 single use cameras are given to people affected by homelessness, with a selection of the resulting images made into a calendar that generates income for them.
