A documentary exploring why creatives are so deeply drawn to climbing. Told through the voices of Black and underrepresented artists and outdoor enthusiasts, the film captures the subtle parallels between movement, imagination and self-expression.

Ujamaa Rocks is a community of climbers and creatives exploring storytelling through movement and the outdoors. We are writers, filmmakers, photographers, musicians and artists who share a love for climbing and creativity.

At our core, we’re committed to improving inclusivity in the outdoor world by centering Black and underrepresented voices both in front of and behind the camera, creating space for our community to tell its own stories.
