The Coastal Wolves of British Columbia
Life’s a handful, or a pawful, when you’re raising a family in the wild!
This coastal wolf mom and her pups are part of a special population that lives in the rainforests of British Columbia. Often called “sea wolves,” they tend to be smaller and leaner than their inland cousins and have adapted to life by the sea, feeding on everything from fish to mussels.
Our co-founders have spent weeks at a time gaining the trust of the packs that roam the intertidal zone and even had the honour of becoming the designated babysitters for a playful litter of pups.
