Filmmaker and OCL Storytelling Grantee Carter Kirilenko joined a small team of storytellers to produce ŌSENI - a short film capturing a journey of exploration and discovery, and a shared effort to reconnect with the ancient stories of the ocean and humpback whales. Along the way, the team collected skin samples, fluke-IDs, behavioural data on humpback whales and environmental DNA samples to gain new insights into lives and health of humpback whales across the region.
