Compassionate handlers at the Wild Is Life Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery in Harare are committed to rescuing elephant orphans. Under their care, calves receive the nurturing they need to begin life again in the wild at a sanctuary close to Victoria Falls.
The WIL-ZEN rewilding facility is situated at the Panda Masuie Forest Reserve, a vast landscape where elephants can integrate into new herds. Supported by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, WIL-ZEN is transforming this region into a protected area crucial to the conservation of wildlife.
Footage by the International Fund for Animal Welfare was used in the creation of this film.
