A Fisher’s Wisdom is a short documentary focused on the subject of marine protected areas, told through the inspiring story of Macarena Molina who, very literally, bridges the gap between the industry and the research in the Alboran Sea fishery, off the coast of Cabo de Gata in Spain. In production, made possible by the MAVA foundation, we join Macarena as she, along with her community of fishers, seek to improve the marine protected area where they live, hoping to make it more sustainable for both the community and nature.
